MANIFIESTO

My commitment with artistic creation consists of observing the world, nature and myself, finding small details and highlighting them, reflecting and presenting ideas through the production itself. I work with different materials, modifying and transforming them until they acquire meaning, strength and sentimental charge; until they manage to communicate what I mean to say. I think that a work should be a friendly object, which we make an accomplice, that expresses us or questions us with its mere presence.

Baby bear rug, made from recycled X-rays, this work talks about the problem of plastic pollution that we have as a society and how little we do about it by hiding the problem "under the rug", in the background it questions what we consider luxury in this historic moment.

Alfombra de oso bebe, hecha de radiografias recicladas, esta obra habla sobre el problema de la contaminación por plásticos que tenemos como sociedad y lo poco que hacemos al respecto escondiendo el problema "bajo la alfombra", en un segundo plano cuestiona que consideramos lujo en este momento histórico.

Statement

I working with different materials, modifying and transforming them until they acquires meaning, strength and sentimental charge. I think a work of art should be a friendly object, to which we become an accomplice, that express or question us whit its mere presence.

Mi compromiso con la creación artística consiste en observar el mundo, la naturaleza y a mi misma, en encontrar pequeños detalles y resaltarlos, en la reflexión y el planteamiento de ideas mediante la producción misma. Trabajo con diferentes materiales modificándolos y transformándolos hasta que adquieren sentido, fuerza y carga sentimental; hasta que logran comunicar eso que quiero decir. Pienso que una obra debe ser un objeto amigo, al que hacemos cómplice, que nos expresa o nos cuestiona con su mera presencia.
